This week we had to write about the day we thought was the best day of our holidays. We needed to explain why it was the best.
The Botanical
Gardens
Last week on
Friday, my family and my little cousin went to The Botanical Gardens and we
went on a sunny day.
We went up a hill
to The Lady Norwood Rose Garden. When we got up there, there were beautiful
flowers. We walked on the pathway leading us to a very big fountain where ducks
were swimming.
We walked around
looking at the flowers and played a little bit. After a while ago, we went into
the green house and we took many pictures, until we ran out of room.
We went outside and
walked up hills and down hills. We went down to the garden that was down hills
and while we were nearly down the hill, I saw a bunch of flowers shaped as the
North Island of New Zealand.
After that, it was
time to go home and I got a map of The Botanical Gardens and also facts.
I really liked
going to The Botanical Gardens because it was the best day to go on and I
really enjoyed the fun.

MOTHER-DAUGHTER DAY<3
The best day of my holiday was Saturday the 11th. Saturday was MOTHER DAUGHTER DAY
When me and my mum go shopping
And have fun and enjoy our day.
It was a nice sunny day on Saturday so we went into
town, down Cuba St. where we went shopping for
Clothes, accessories and shoes.
It was fun watching a movie with my mum at the
Reading Cinemas when a lot of people were there.
In the middle of the day I went on a small peddal boat

For 30 minutes and it was AWESOME!
That was the best day of my holiday and it was AWESOME

Softball Practice
Hi today I’m going to tell you about why softball practice was the best
day of my holidays.
The best day of my holiday was softball practice. It was good that it
was sunny because it is harder to play when it is windy because if it is windy
when the coach throws high ones it will go in a different direction.
It was a good thing to see two of my friends from school because then I
would know a couple people there. It also would make it easier because I would
be able to ask people I know instead of people I didn’t know for help.
It was nice to practice softball because I’ve wanted to play baseball
since I got to NZ. It also was really fun. My favorite part was the batting.
The reason that I didn’t like batting first was because it is easier
for me to see how other people do a thing than do it before them.
That is why baseball practice was the best part of my holiday.

MY FAVOURITE DAY IN
THE HOLIDAYS
My favourite day in the holidays was Saturday.
Saturday was my Dads 59th birthday. It was
better this year because last year he had a little birthday because my mum was
busy.
We got to go to Yum Cha at lunchtime, which my dad liked
going to. I like going to Yum Cha as well.
After Yum Cha we went to an Asian shop, which my sister
and I liked, my sister bought some refreshments and food and my dad liked my
ice cream. My dad liked mine because mine was vanilla and strawberry and my
sister had mango, which my dad sort of liked.
At dinnertime we got 2 large pizzas and 1 extra large
pizza that my dad order online and that he chose.
This was the best day in the holidays.

The Best Day Of My Holiday
The best day of my holiday was when I went to a Lions game.
The reason why it was the best day is because it was a beautiful day.
We got donuts and found our seats.
When we went to the vending machine I got a Sprite but my sister got
ripped off four dollars I thought that was funny J
Then she put in the code for a Coke and she got a Coke Zero!
So we went back and the Lions won – YAY. When the lions mascot ran
passed I got a high five YAY.
That is why it was the best day of my holidays. YAY.

BIRTHDAY SURPRISE
The best day in the holidays was the day I celebrated my birthday!
It was the best day because my family and I were celebrating my
birthday. My friends: Lindy and Daniel came over to stay a few nights. After we
all woke up, it started to snow but it didn’t settle - 5 minutes latter it stopped. Two minutes
after it started to snow again.
When Ngaire, Klara, Lindy, Daniel and I had lunch it stopped snowing,
so we decided to get some ice cream. When we ate the ice cream it started to
snow again. Daniel said “ICE CREAM POWER” through a mouth full of ice cream.
It was also the best day because when I was watching some TV, I heard
someone singing happy birthday. It was my Uncle arriving with two human size teddies!!
And for dinner we had a 3course meal, the deserts were my favourite part of the
day.
That is why this day was the best day of the holidays.

a beautiful day, the sun was shining. It was the perfect day to go out.
My 1st favorite thing in the holiday was
that I went to Y.C with my two cousins, my sister, my aunty, my grandma and my
grandad. It was super yum! I ate loads of FOOD!
My 2nd favorite thing in the holiday was about
1:00, we left Y.C and went to F.K.P (only my cousins, my aunty and I went to
F.K.P, the others went home)
I had a good time at F.K.P.

Going to Mt. Ruapehu
Hi, I‘m here to tell you about the best day of the
holidays, going to see lots & lots of snow!
11 October 2014
I woke up at 4:00 o’clock to get ready to go to Mt.
Ruapehu. I got ready, my brother, my mum, my dad & I got in our car &
went to Petone to go in my dad’s friend’s car. Three families went, my family
and two of my friends families. It was a long… journey
there were 9 kids including a little baby, she is
so………. CUTE!!! We stopped to eat!
J After a long time we got there at last, climbed
up Mt. Ruapehu & went down the chair lift & then…. We celebrated my
aunt’s birthday, we cut the cake!! It is time to do some sledding!!! YAY!!
I also built some snowmen & had a snowball fight
against the boys that is all we did in the snow. We got down & into our
cars, did you know 2 things: 1 the snow Mt. is really a volcano & 2 all the
cars we took were silver. We exited Whakapapa and went to the biggest park in
the world (not really, just seemed liked it, because I haven’t seen a really
big park before) we had lots of FUN .Then it was time to go home !!
To get ready to go back to school!!!
That
is why it was the best day of my holidays!!

GOING SWIMMING
The best day of the holidays was Monday when I got to
go to Splash Planet.
The reason why I went Splash Planet was because it was
a nice day to go for a swim.
In Napier it was quite sunny. So I asked my dad if we
could go to the swimming pools he said yes, so we went there. When I got into
the pools it was quite cold, after that I went down the longest slide in there,
when I went down I was going side to side on the slide.
It was really fun when I went back into the pool it
was deep cause I went in to the wrong pool I couldn’t even touch the ground. It
was the best holiday ever.

In the weekend I went to Te
papa (container of treasures) to go see Tyrannosaurs, Meet the Family.
I was terrified when I saw an
Albertosaurus skeleton. There was a real thigh - bone with a tooth embedded
straight in it. I learnt that Albertosaurus was an early ancestor of
Tyrannosaurus Rex and lived at the time of Dinosucus, the giant crocodile.
Another thing I liked about
it was it had two videos showing what it would be like if dinosaurs roamed the
planet today. One video was filmed at the Wharf and Te papa, while the other
one was filmed at a Gelato store.
After that we had some
chocolate cake with whipped cream and it was topped off with a chocolate
truffle.
Lastly there was a scavenger
hunt where you tried to find parts of a Tyrannosaurus Rex from a mine.
I loved that day so much I
wished it wouldn’t end!

The Best day of the Holidays
Sunday was the
best day of the holidays because I came home from Eketahuna (the place where my
nana moans and lives).
My mum and I went
for a bike ride. I have an orange bike and my mum has a purple bike, we rode to
school to show me the route to there, so I can ride to school next year.
My family is AWESOME
because we went to The Warehouse
and got some huge
water guns, then went home and had a giant water fight.
I got heaps of
treats. A meerkat statue, a huge fluffy orange blanket and pole tennis, so I
was playing pole tennis for the
whole day.
That day was nice

Geometry, table-tennis n stuff
Yesterday
I went to my grandma’s house to celebrate. It was good because,
I
like to see my cousin, it’s also fun to watch them play my favourite game
Geometry Dash.
He
finishes a level called base after base, the icon looks like a skull with
connected eyes.
I
have a go at a harder level called x-step and then I beat his record.
We
went down to the basement to play table tennis, I improved from last time I
played and beat my mum.
That’s
why that was the best day in my holiday.

THE CAMPERVAN!!!
I had never woken up in a campervan,
I thought oh - yeah,
We’re on our holiday.
We are in Napier. “Dad, what are we doing today?”
I asked, “Well we could go and see what there is to
do” “Remember that Mini Golf we saw maybe we could do that” “Ok we will see how
much it is” “YAY!!! Thanks Dad you’re the best Dad in the world” “Ok if you
want to go than shall we get up?” “Ok then, Dad don’t look I’m getting changed”
“Ok be quick” so I got changed as quick as I could “Lets get ready to
rumble!!!” my dad went. He even banged 5 times, it was annoying!!! So when we
got there my Dad asked the lady “How much is it for 2 kids and 2 adults?” “That
is” sorry but I actually don’t know how much anyway lets carry on where was I…
oh yeah so we each got our Mini Golf Clubs and started playing. Here are the
results, in the first round out of all of us Dad came 1st and in the second round
out of the three kids my sister Emma came first. Then that night my dad decided
to go out for dinner at a restaurant. “Which one Dad?” I asked “Umm, How about
this one” “Yes please!!! This looks cool” so the next day was Sunday [our going
back to Wellington day] I was sad and exited at the same. I was excited to go
and see my Mum in Wellington and sad because I enjoyed the holiday.
The best thing about my holiday was being with my Dad.

The best day in my holidays.
Hello, my favourite day in the holidays was Saturday.
Saturday was the best day of
my holidays because it was a beautiful day. I could see only a little bit of
clouds.
My sister and I went to St.
Harriers Athletics Club.
It was our first time this
year because it started two weeks ago but we didn’t go last week.
My favourite bit of SHAC is
long jump and sprints.
We learned how to start off
sprints.
After we went to town we
went to Farmers. My sister was going to get a toy but we both got a toy but she
also got another toy. We got a Robo fish, Hannah’s was pink and purple, my one
was yellow and blue.
After that long day we had
fish and chips at the south end of the airport.
I got a Hawaiian burger and
chips. We saw a ferry and a fishing boat. My Mum said they were racing but I
didn’t think so.
This was my favourite day of
the holidays.

The best day of my holidays
In the first week
of the holidays I went to Auckland and stayed in a motel.
I had an amazing
holiday in Auckland and that was partly because we had never been to Auckland.
We had so much fun
especially since my cousins were there.
We were so lucky
because my mum told us to wash the dishes, but we just ran down to the beach.
We were so naughty!!!
It was so cool
because the beach was just down the road! We did Olympics and I was the judge
for every thing. There was even medals and things. My cousin’s Ruby and Flynn
came first every time.
And that is why I had an amazing
holiday!!!!!

THE HOLIDAYS
In the holidays my
Mum, Dad, brother, and my grandparents and I went to Wet and Wild Hawaii.
The first ride we
went on was the worst to start on my Mum NEVER went on it again. I did.
My favorite ride was
for 2 or 4 people. You are in a tube, you go through pitch - black darkness
straight down a drop, and then up 4 walls. You get soaked in water.
The best part of the
day was spending a great day with the people I love.

My fun holiday
In the holidays I went to Botanical Gardens with my family.
It was fun because it was a very, very sunny and beautiful
day. Most days in Wellington are windy, so that was great.
And I love spending time with my family. It takes quality time
to get to know each other better.
The best part about Botanical Gardens is the flowers. There
was even a group of flowers that looked like New Zealand! The flowers were so
cute and gentle, like me.
I even loved getting ice cream. It was mouth watering, white,
creamy vanilla ice cream.
The trip to the Botanical Gardens was the best day in my
holidays.

MY HAPPY HOLIDAYS
My favorite day of the holidays will have to be
Sunday; it was a glorious day just perfect for some outdoorsy fun.
While I was thinking that my mum busted through the
door and told me that I would be having some outdoorsy fun after all.
How crazy is that.
Off we went heading down the road just my mum,
brother, sister, her friend and I.
Once we got there I asked my mum “what are we going to
be doing”.
Then she told me we were going to be painting and did
I mention I absolutely love painting, I was so excited!
While I was painting flowers I over heard my sister
and her friend chatting away about how we can paint what ever we wanted. It was
hilarious when I caught my sisters friend painting an alien in the helicopter.
The interesting thing was whenever I come out of
school I would be able to see it. Oh I forgot to tell you its right across the
road from my school.
The best part of my day was the fact I got to do it
with my amazing whanau that I love SO much!

The best day of my holiday
The best day of my holiday was going to the Kilbirnie Pools with my
family.
I was happy that it was sunny because my mum said if it wasn’t sunny we
would of not have gone to the pools.
Once I got changed I got in the water and played with my brother. It
felt good to get in the water.
A little bit later I went on a big blow up dolphin that you jump off. I
liked it because it was really fun.
Later I got tired so we packed up and went home.

Beach time!
In the holidays I went to Shelly Bay
Beach so that is what I will be writing about
today.
Do you like rain? well I don’t. Luckily
it was not raining on the day I went to Shelly
Bay beach, that day was so hot and warm.
My family was so desperate to go. By my family I mean
my brother and I. In no time we were off. When we got there my step – mum put a
big blanket down and we all lay down on it.
It was much better being outside than stuck
inside all day. My brother and I were running like
crazy at the beach.
I found a little bench in the rocks [well it was
shaped like a bench] for Levi [my brother]
and I to play on and to put our collections on. I
called it our station.
It was great being outside it really was, and also
being with my family - two things that I love.

The
plane trip
Wednesday was the best day of
my holidays because…
I was at the airport at 7am in
the morning but I woke up at 4am.
When we were boarding the
plane I noticed the plane was small, when I got on the plane I needed to find
seats 9a and 9b.
When we got to our seats my Mum
put some of our bags in the overhead lockers and other bags under the seats in
front of us.
When the plane took off it was
really windy.
When the plane was landing in
Hamilton I got really happy to see my Nana again!
My Nana said we weren’t going
anywhere but we did.
It was a beautiful day in
Hamilton which made the day even better.

Football In Taupo
It was the best day in the holidays because my family went to Taupo for
a football tournament.
My brother Sam played in it. It was 3 days long but I loved the 3rd
day the most.
I met up with my friends Mela and Baxter. We played football and jumped
around like a group of rabbit’s. We went on the swings and then had ice creams
from Mr. Whippy.
After all that fun, Sam’s team found out that they won the tournament.
Later, we went to a swimming pool/waterpark called DeBretts.
While my family and I were at DeBretts, Mama Punie, Papa John John and
Aunty Miranda were having a nice sleep.
I loved how Aunty Miranda and Mama Punie came from Hamilton to Taupo
for the tournament.
