Today, the Tuakana syndicate together with Sustainable Coastlines went to clean up part of the foreshore at Evans Bay.
Before we went, Room 7 had to think about what kind of rubbish we thought we would find on the beach. When we returned we compared our list to what we actually found, and cleared away.

We found everything on our list except fish hooks, tin cans and cardboard. We found a lot of other things too.
It was fun picking up rubbish and we were amazed at some of the things we found.
So that we could all see what we cleaned out we took three of the sacks of rubbish back to class. Altogether the syndicate would have collected about 8 times the amount of rubbish shown in the pictures below. See if you can spot the items from our lists.
