                                                        Football Fun

Today we met Henry, Cole and James. They are amazing footballers. They are going to teach us how to play football and teach us some skills for the next 8 weeks.

First we played a game of Octopus.

Second we played a different game, it was red light green light with a BALL! 

Finally we played an actual game of football. We got split up into six teams, four players in each team. Everyone had a good time.

                    I saw some other teams celebrating.

                 I heard Jamal say to me pass to me then                      I’ll pass back to you.

                 I felt sad because I had ten shots and 

                 missed all of them.

                 I wondered if we were going to score a goal.

                   It was fun I can’t wait for next Tuesday

On the 6^th may 2014 we had our first football school programme.

I saw people getting goals when we were playing a game of football.

I heard people being happy and having  fun dribbling and playing football.

I felt very proud of myself for giving it a try.

I wondered who was going to win octopus.

Foot ball is fun because I like ball games.

I saved 3 goals.

We got no goals.The other team got none as well.

It was a stalemate.

I got hot and thirsty but did that stop me? NO!

I saw the ball go side to side.

I saw people kicking with the wind.

I heard the wind swaying the ball.

 I heard people yelling for the ball.

I felt my pain get worse but I got over it.

But the whole thing was fantastic.

I saw everyone dribbling balls around the court.

I felt like my ball was going to blow away with the wind.

I heard my team mate say PASS THE BALL TO ME!

I wondered if I was going to be a good football player?

I felt tired after playing.

Football in Schools       

Today after morning tea we went outside and we played two rounds of Octopus.

Then everyone got a football and we started by dribbling the ball and when one of the coaches put up a red cone it meant stop.

When they put up a green cone it meant go. Once we did that we were still dribbling the ball when coach said do a roundabout  so we did a roundabout. After we did stop light we played a game of football my team won.

It is one of the best times I have ever had.

Football Fun

We had three visitors teach us the important skills of football/soccer.

I saw the ball coming straight for my legs during our game so I kicked it and it was a pretty good kick too.

I felt proud and a bit relieved that I didn’t miss the ball.

I heard the coach say ‘’swap to sub’’ I was disappointed but then I had realized I was going to swap again and be back in.

I wondered when are we going to stop.

It was awesome learning a new sport I haven’t tried before.

Today we had football in our school. Three visitors came to our school.

They taught us how to do side stepping, go round-abouts, kick and dribble.

We played a game of soccer. We had 12 people on each court. We got to wear bibs. Our colour was green. We won by one point. It was so fun.

When room 7 and I arrived at the court we sat down and listened to James.

He said “Before playing football we have to warm up” so we played octopus.

I was about the fifth tagged in octopus on the first round, on the second round I did an epic squeeze and got passed the seaweeds, but Bill tagged me anyway.

After we played octopus we moved on to traffic light it was all about dribbling, control, speed, and caution.

Soon we played a little match of football, for my team we had a sub because our opponents only had three players. At the end it was nil all.

I enjoyed football.

I saw the ball fly over my head.

I saw people side-stepping me when I was the tagger for octopus.

I heard my team shouting my name.

I felt my heart pumping out of my chest.

I felt my hair sway in the wind.

      I can’t wait till next time!

I saw the red light and tried to stop with the ball,

but the ball kept blowing away.

I heard people screaming when they were about to bump into each other.

I felt a bit of pain on my left leg while I was playing football.

I wondered if I might get hit on the head by the ball when it was up in the air, coming towards me.

Football was fun and I liked it, but the worst part was when my leg was a pain.

Soccer Champs

Today our class had some visitors. They were soccer players, there were three guys. All of them taught us different skills. We had two games one was octopus and one was traffic lights. We also had a game of soccer .The three men numbered us into six groups then we put on bibs and played a game of football. A few kids got injured.

It was cool because my team won.

Today our school had some soccer people come.

First we did a warm up called Octopus.

Next we played a game called traffic light.

After we played soccer it was really fun we used a 3^rd of the netball court

2 teams in each 3^rd .

I was in the non-bib team.

I cannot wait till next time I hope we have even more fun.

 Today on the 6^th of may2014 we played soccer.

We had three coaches, they where called-Cole-henry and James we first played

Seaweed it’s like tag but when you get tagged you’re seaweed.

Then we played traffic lights

It’s not really like red light green light

Its got one red cone that means put you’re foot on the ball.

The green cone means keep dribbling.

Gear1 means slow gear2 means medium fast gear3 means fast and gear4 means accelerator.

Last we played a real game of soccer.

There were six teams all together.

In my area I was green team and we won.  :]
