We have begun to explore the concepts of capacity and volume.
To begin with we talked about how we measure things when we are cooking.
The first question we thought about was How big is a spoonful?
We came up with lots of different answers when we started measuring spoonfuls of popcorn.
We can see why there are measuring spoons!
After talking about spoons we then did the same thing with cups. No prizes for guessing which cupful of popped corn most people wanted!
